Food is always the answer...33 weeks

Whoever said that you don't need food to make you happy, has clearly never been pregnant...this weekend was the Taste of LA, an event that revolves around food, beer and wine. There were events in several locations in Los Angeles. We spent our time at the Beverly Hills event, where we would get to meet several people whom I watch all the time on one of my favorite channels, The Food Network!

Besides getting to meet some awesome people....Brad and I got to hang out with some of our favorite people: Tiffany and Cami Cohen! (see photo below)

Day 1

We walked around, ate lots of yummy food provided by many restaurants in and around LA, and then made our way to a demonstration by Claire Robinson. She is a chef on The Food Network whose philosophy is that any recipe can be made from 5 ingredients. She, like me, is also from the South, which made for an interesting demo. Between her witty humor and southern accent, we learned a lot, and had such fun listening and participating in the "making" of date scones, homemade butter, and of course some homemade bloody mary's!

After the demo, I met and chatted with Claire a little bit. She is so nice and friendly!

Day 2

We arrived a little late, but met up with Tiffany and Cami! We began our eating fest, though we took it a little easy, so as to avoid the stomach aches we both ended up with on Saturday!

We began with a few samples, a relaxing moment after the samples, and some fun with balloon animals with Cami Cohen! (see below pictures)

It was so unbearably hot outside, we drank lemonade, walked around, and played for a little while until it was time for the discussion with Giada! Here are some photos of us chillin' in the heat!

And some photos of Giada....and me!

 Me and GIADA:

The funny/interesting part of this picture is that when she finished speaking, she said that she would sign books foe people...I, of course, wanted a photo. Since I was sitting right in the front, I figured it would be easy. I was wrong! People were bombarding her and there were security guards blocking the crowd. When she got to me, and I asked for a picture, she said that it may not be a good idea because then she would never get home...

Then, she saw that I am pregnant! She loved the belly and said, "Aww, you're pregnant, I have to take a picture with you!"

I was so excited, and after the photo, Brad and I left, so as to not upset the crowd when she didn't take any photos with everyone else!

What a fun weekend! We can't wait to share many more when Tshabalalah gets here!
