3 under 2...and the next year!

Life with 3 is not what either of us expected. Busy, lots of diapers. Zoe and Emma are great babies. They eat, of course they eat, and they sleep a fair amount! We had some help in the beginning at night. Our nanny is amazing and the girls love her too! 😉 Things with Evan are pretty much business as usual!

Recovery from a c-section is not as bad as I thought it would be...let me tell you, if I HAD to do it again, and let me assure you that I will not be doing it again, but if I HAD to, this is the way to go. No pushing. No dilating. Wam Bam Thank you ma'am.

Evan turned two recently.... And then fast forward a year....and now he is now 3...and a half!!!

figured I would keep the world updated on our current life instead of trying to post date back to the last time I posted.

Life with a 3 and a half year old is super fun and then having two (almost) two year olds along for the ride is even more enjoyable!! But really, it is really very fun and exciting. A bit overwhelming at times I will be the first to admit, but I will also be the first to say that I (we) love more moments than I don't. And isn't that the important part?!

Double trouble

August 14, 2013

Wednesday morning on August 14, 2013 and Brad and I arrived at the hospital at 5:30 am to prepare for my C-section to welcome our twin girls into the world at 7:49 and 7:52 am. Zoe Lauren came first and then Emma Brooke.

After a long few days in the hospital, we finally went home to show Emma and Zoe their house!!! When we got there, they were sound asleep in their car seats!

Now it's time for life to start getting real as a family of 5! Who knew that in an instant things could change so quickly.

And thus, our adventure begins....

so...this happened...

Well, it has clearly been a while since posting anything on our blog and if you are friends with me on Facebook, you know why we are so behind, and if not, then you are about to.

Let me back track for a minute...my last post was about Evan's first birthday party! That was an awesome celebration! We had family and friends at our house and food and fun! It could not have been more perfect! A few short weeks later I went to the doctor and while everything was fine, I ended up making an appointment for a follow up appointment which ended up happening in December, Christmas Eve to be exact. When I went to the doctor, in conversing with the nurse, told her that I may be a couple of days late. This was a rare occurrence for me, at which point she asked me if I wanted to take a pregnancy test. I of course did not, considering we had just celebrated Evan's 1st birthday and if any of you remember what that delivery was like for me, I was never going through that again! Anyways, I digress!

To make a long story short, I took a test and of course It was POSITIVE! WHAT!!!!???? I what??? In the exact words of the nurse, Gina, when she came into the room to tell me, "hey Jennie, well, I don't know if you wanted it to be positive or negative, but it was really positive!"

I was definitely surprised!

After that, we left my doctor's office and went to the Christmas party as usual and acted as if everything was normal. We told no one. I made an appointment for January when I should be about 7 weeks and we waited.

Birthday Boy! (better late than never....)

Well, here it is....Evan is officially ONE YEAR OLD!!!

Honestly, I know that every one says this, but I can't believe that it has been a year. Time really flies, and it is here. It is hard to believe that one year ago, I was in labor at Cedars Sinai, and now we have a healthy, fun loving, and extremely happy boy who just lights up our lives!
